Terms of Service

Welcome to KareKonnect (“KareKonnect,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the KareKonnect platform, website, services, and related communications.
By creating an account, accessing, browsing, or using KareKonnect, you agree to these Terms.
- Marketplace Platform Only
KareKonnect is an online marketplace and referral platform that connects families with independent childcare providers, including newborn care specialists, night nannies, babysitters, postpartum caregivers, and related care professionals.
KareKonnect is not:
- a childcare provider,
- an employer of caregivers,
- a staffing agency,
- a medical provider,
- or a guarantor of caregiver performance, conduct, compatibility, availability, or qualifications.
Families are solely responsible for evaluating, interviewing, selecting, hiring, supervising, and retaining caregivers.
Caregivers are solely responsible for the services they provide.
- Independent Providers
All caregivers using KareKonnect are independent third parties and are not employees, agents, partners, joint venturers, or representatives of KareKonnect.
KareKonnect does not supervise, direct, or control the services provided by caregivers.
- User Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use KareKonnect.
By using the platform, you represent that:
- the information you provide is accurate,
- you have authority to enter into these Terms,
- and you will comply with all applicable laws.
- Account Responsibility
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.
You are responsible for all activity occurring under your account.
- Background Checks and Verification
KareKonnect may offer optional background checks, identity verification, certifications, or profile review processes.
However:
- KareKonnect does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any background check or verification process.
- Families remain solely responsible for conducting their own independent evaluation before hiring any caregiver.
- No Guarantees
KareKonnect does not guarantee:
- caregiver availability,
- caregiver performance,
- compatibility,
- successful placements,
- uninterrupted services,
- or specific outcomes.
Any hiring decision is made solely at the user’s discretion and risk.
- Concierge Matching Services
KareKonnect may offer optional concierge or personalized matching services for additional fees.
Concierge services are limited to introductions, recommendations, coordination assistance, and general support.
KareKonnect does not guarantee:
- placement success,
- caregiver performance,
- long-term compatibility,
- or uninterrupted care.
Any replacement assistance offered is solely at KareKonnect’s discretion.
- Payments and Fees
Certain services may require payment.
All fees are disclosed before purchase and may include:
- concierge matching fees,
- featured profile fees,
- premium visibility fees,
- or other marketplace-related services.
Unless otherwise stated, fees are nonrefundable once services have been initiated.
- User Conduct
Users agree not to:
- provide false information,
- harass or discriminate against others,
- misuse the platform,
- solicit illegal services,
- or violate any applicable laws.
KareKonnect reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion.
- Platform Communications and Content Moderation
To help maintain the safety, integrity, professionalism, and functionality of the KareKonnect platform, users acknowledge and agree that communications conducted through KareKonnect’s messaging systems or platform features may be monitored, reviewed, restricted, edited, removed, or moderated by KareKonnect for purposes including, but not limited to:
- safety and security,
- fraud prevention,
- dispute resolution,
- enforcement of platform policies,
- investigation of suspicious, inappropriate, or unlawful activity,
- prevention of spam or harassment,
- and prevention of attempts to circumvent the KareKonnect platform.
Users agree not to post or publicly share restricted contact information in profiles, listings, job postings, public descriptions, or other prohibited areas of the platform, including but not limited to:
- phone numbers,
- email addresses,
- social media handles,
- external website links,
- or other direct contact methods.
KareKonnect reserves the right to edit, remove, reject, suspend, or moderate any content, communication, listing, or profile that violates these Terms or compromises user safety, platform integrity, or marketplace standards.
KareKonnect further reserves the right to approve, deny, suspend, remove, or modify provider profiles, family job posts, reviews, badges, titles, images, or marketplace content at its sole discretion for quality control, safety, professionalism, or compliance purposes.
- Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KareKonnect and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for:
- caregiver conduct,
- childcare outcomes,
- injuries,
- damages,
- losses,
- disputes between users,
- missed work,
- emotional distress,
- or indirect or consequential damages arising from platform use.
Users assume full responsibility for their interactions and hiring decisions.
- Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless KareKonnect and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
- use of the platform,
- caregiver services,
- hiring decisions,
- violations of these Terms,
- or disputes between users.
- Termination
KareKonnect reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the platform at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other lawful reason.
- Privacy
Use of KareKonnect is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
- Modifications
KareKonnect may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
- Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located in California.
